She is the center
of the storm just
before the rains come.

To look at her is to find
no clue of the surrounding
ravage. Calm. Hollow.
Devoid.

Adversarily bound by
the lack of divorce,
captive, until the fortunate
finds death.

The walking dead breathe
by habit, not desire;
she waits for the day she
doesn’t.

perhaps she should instead look for the way she could live today...

love the verse... grim, terse, with strong imagery..

hugs for the pain my friend...

What about those of us who can't breathe without coughing? Noisy LONG wait. *S*

This is life at its harshest, void of pretty trappings, empty of reasons to keep trying... and absolutely excellent.
