The candle senses not the flame which draws the foolish heart to whim.
Nor does indulge in childish games though freely lends the heart to him,
who would but see beyond false glow the radience within which lies,
that those who've read her words well know, can hit you right between the eyes.

Serenity, I'll speak her name, as she was called some time ago.
It conjures forth such tranquil scenes of places that I used to know,
of simpler times and peaceful dreams, the stuff of childhood's younger days,
the lull before the storm it seems, a spark that's fanned into a blaze.

Duality of dark and light, the yin and yang of day and night,
embodied in her words I see, the dream of what is yet to be.

P.S.,
serenity, should you happen to read this, I hope you don't mind, if so, just have the moderator wipe it. My impressions of your writings either have a place here or they don't, Be well.

I think this is a most beautiful tribute to Serenity...I think she will be very pleased by it.  I enjoy your writing, have I told you?  Well, I do!

*hugging myself*

I am just so astonished.

(Who, ME?)

I swear if you'd not added that message, I would never have dreamed this was for me. That "ugly voice" would be saying, "bosh YOU--it's a metaphor."

Life is ssooooooooo Good!

I thank you--I am deeply touched.
(but yannew that, didn'ja? )

love to you.

Ha!  No way!  It's a good thing Serenity is enjoying this bit of pleasure, because if she had a problem with it, she'd have to find another moderator to swipe it clean, because she'd be hard pressed to be asking ME to remove it...I just wouldn't do it, nope, nope, nope!

Oh yeah, did I say I liked it?

Dr. Moose1, this is a very good tribute to Serenity. I love the way you "family of Friends" do this. By the way, I also love that, too...the "Family Of Friends" slogan. So much so that I wrote a poem about it. I enjoy your work, Doc, and look forward to reading more of it.

Love To All,
Ethel

Martie, Seymour, serenity, Auguste, Sunshine,
garysgirl, loner, Dark Angel,
Thanks to all and once again sorry for the delay in replying. I have almost completed my move to a different part of Bewilderment,
and subsequently was off-line for awhile.
The computer is now all moved in ( and making itself quite comfortable I might add)
however, I myself won't be moved in for a while yet. Thanks again.
