Isn't that
a wonderful word?

The deliciousness of feeling good.
The deliciousness of making love.
The deliciousness of learning.

The word: deliciousness,
  makes me feel happy.

Warm and cozy. Full belly comfort.

  Gratification at its best!

Oh, I get shivery just thinking
about all the things
it conjures up in my mind.

      Deliciousness,
      makes me smile

without surrender, be on good terms with all persons...

Kaile,

Thanks, It was my first post, and this really is one of my favorite poems....no matter if it didn't go over well.

Every time I read it, it makes me smile, and feel excited about living!
Corny, though it may be.....

It was written 20+ years ago, after having come through some really difficult problems w. a man who went off the deep end, so to speak....

when that was all finally over, this was one of the first poems I wrote....
I was glad just to be alive....

Everything was like the deliciousness of living....

thanks for responding...and for the welcome...smiling here...hugs, Pat

Gosh Pat, you replied fast!

i just wanted to come back and make a cheesy, though heartfelt remark about how there is deliciousness in reading your poetry and long thoughtful replies...not everyone can put in her heart and soul when replying to other people's poems

nay, feeling excited about living is one of the best feelings to have..and it needs no validation by anything of the sort, so how can it be corny?

hmm, thanks for showing us the thought-processes that went into creating this poem...makes me have deeper insights into this piece...

here's a toast to the deliciousness of living!

Well, James, can't say I completely understand your reply in relation to this poem, but that is okay.

This is simply about joy of living and appreciation and gladness of being alive. A wonderful feeling and has nothing to do with losing control....

Thanks for your comments James....

Hugs, Pat
