Some day I will be that woman,
the one who haunts my dreams.
Right now I am just her shadow
turning corners, fearing the emotions,
tattered by her past, searching for unconditional love,
but trusting no one, pretending often
in the belief of herself.

Some day I will be that woman,
eyes shining brightly, able to melt his heart.
Every day will have a glow of sunshine, to part the gray
and every  night will share a purple heaven
phased by the moon, no more fallout,
just moments etched in reality,
dressing me in wonderment, placing me in the hands of time,

Never to feel the lonely or emptiness again.

M

That is one beautiful poem you wrote here Maureen.

You may feel lonesome once in a while, but you will be never alone, you've made 13 friends that weekend in Tampa.

Love and Hugs to you my friend,

Titia

Thank you Cpat..I agree...

Titia, I am so tired I can't even begin to write all that is going through my mind yet.
I need  quiet to write and this is the first I have been home since I managed to lose my car at the airport parking lot and had to spend an extra night away from home...
and guess where I ate breakfast?   Yup..Denny's

I echo Bill's thoughts, dreams can come real if we have the belief.

Beautifully written.

Read your replies again! You are very well thought of! This was a lovely, yet lonely, poem. From your personal experiences you pull out all the raw emotion and put it down on paper so effectively.

Take care sweet poetess!

brian, I have  faith in the future and am just expressing the present. Thank  you for your kind words...I appreciate them

Karilea, you would have loved this meeting in Florida, thank you for your response.

Hmmm Deer...I  almost asked for a closet at the hotel desk last night, I forgot what it felt like to sleep in a bed.   By the way you spelled my name two different ways in your picture album...the first was correct.

I have yet to put the pics I have of you and the sinkhole you fell into..but  they will be seen as soon as the poems are posted.

Linda, thank you for your  responses. I write as I feel. Some days it is hopeful and content and  other days it's all I can do to  make the day go by faster. It will all even out eventually.

ThisDiamond, I always write the truth of feelings and some times it comes across worse than it is. I am working towards those happy poems...and  it shouldn't be too much longer and my life will leave behind the memories that need to be forgotten.
Thank You

Maureen, keep reaching hon, the light does get brighter.  Some times it seems as though it never will......then it starts to shine a lil more each day......from inside.  Hugs and may you feel peace soon.  And I agree with deer, your pic don't do you justice.  Hugs.

"able to melt his heart" that leads me to believe a love unreturned inspired this introspective write.  And that pulls at the heart.  Brave emotions shown here...yes brave...

Maureen,
you're already halfway there to becoming the person you want to be. I know, I saw her emerging and opening like a rose at the Florida meet.

Maureen darling heart you know that this is beautiful and as for having someone in my cupboard I'd rather it was you than almost anyone one else.

Love you always darling heart
and thank you for the cooking if not for you we would have been very hungry poets
See you soon
Love as always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
