This poem is about how refreshing "Island Life" can be sometimes. Just a simple visit to the beach can rid you of life's stresses for that needed moment. On to the poem...

This, is the life!

As my toes sink pleasantly between pearl white sand grains,
the strong breeze of “no worry” gusts through my knotty hair.
With my back to the vast blue seas of living splendors and delight,
my eyes ardent on dynamic greens and many dazzling colors of the land.

Engulfed by an enlivening feeling as I stroll the shoreline with thought.
Sounds of sprightly seagulls and the locals going about theirs, the comfort.
Smells of the natural salt sea, misconstrued freshness… tranquility.
The sun touches my unarmed brown skin warmly, with it’s equation of light.

Contentment revolves about my cozy heart as the skeptical is shelved.
This Isle of sun, sand, and sea; cure for all if treasured to the fullest.
This, is the life!

Hope you enjoyed...
