Love you?

Why would one ever perceive not?
Might it be the silence of lips.
The lack of one’s touch.
The look of eyes without that gleam.

Could it be these?

Could it just be...sometimes...
I struggle to say the words...
I fail to grasp the hand...

Never because I don’t
For...even on my worst day...
Our worst day...I will...
I will always love you....

And, I wish to be here...
Here, my love....beside you,
as each day passes, each night comes..
As each moon sets beyond the hills..
My love will not set, nor wane...
Even on those days when I
don’t have that gleam....

When I fail to reach out and
touch you, as you have touched me...
over all of these years...
Loving me, as I too,
love you...
