My Lord, Your Grace, My King... I stand before thee, most humbly. Each breath a labor Each word an unheard whisper.. In my eyes My Lord, these tired and weary eyes I find only the darkness of the waking hour. I have not seen Our Sun, the one light of this place, our home, your castle... Wilt the clouds of day mask the smile of one’s heart in wait? Can one stand, gazing skyward, wondering... and not cry out... Darkness has covered my shadow... I walk alone within my soul... Dreams fail to bring life to my eyes... In sleep, deep sleep... I wait.... Bring forth the orb of yellow in rise... Let my shadow warm in the brilliance of the waking light... I wait My Lord, I wait.... In chill of night till.... My dawn arrives... |
