If I could count the number of times
That I have personally failed
I would have so much gravel
For my dreams to travel over
That the foundation would support me
From the knowledge of doing it wrong

For the direction of a one way street to success
Leaves you standing in your own tracks
As you back tract carefully
From your unsupported assumptions

With the onslaught of life’s storms
Which float you backwards
In swells of increasing strength
As you try to right yourself
In the motion sickness of your conviction

In determination from years of tears
Your frustration drives you forward
Against all the odds of total collapse
Confidence supporting you
From the passion of your sincerity
The basis to keep trying

In the tranquility of your flaws
Your inner devotion are blessed
In sheer motivational skills
In a will to struggle forward
No matter how hard the obstacle becomes
If it is true to your heart’s desire

In this space of limitless wisdom comes the reassurances of survival. Your words bring me to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that storms are the manifestion of life and we are that life.

Each phrase is beautiful but, the one above is my hope. Every line is a gem, I just didn't want to rewrite every one again.

So, true. Life is a struggle, but whatever is worth having, is worth the working for.
With a passion for life and living, we can overcome all odds and live the life we truly want to live. That undertow keeps trying to pull us away from what we want, but it's worth the struggle to overcome that negative pull so that we can reach the shore of our dreams. We must dare to dream and not be deterred. This is a wonderful poem on so many levels.
