standing on a shadow's lace

Maybe………

across a satin
moon lit breeze
I heard the notes of
black and white keys
with a sound
that I wished to claim
I thought I heard
it say my name
it went right by
it went so fast
maybe it was a shudder
from my past
maybe it could have been
something I wished to be
and maybe tonight
I just needed something
to hold close to me

I’m not disappointed, I never expected anything from you.

How lovely pensive and dreamlike. I love it and felt it. This is what reading it was like for me:

Your thoughts were in a bubble wand
as it emerged from a child's lips
then it floated towards the sky
gently bursting out the words inside
