You blink

and the sky closes

  the angels swim
in a blue lake
    lit from beneath

   the blaze casting their shadows
on the clouds

              they splash
in the divine
ecstatic
at being
within
      the gaze of You
                     (are that You are)

I am
a speck of dust
and You

       call me

                   Angel

Hmm...not like the usual angel poems I read. I like this, and I'm trying to figure out why it doesn't have any replies.

*sigh*
Such is the fate of good poetry here sometimes.

"two hearts will build the foundation for one point of light
a duet done with passion"

excerpt from "I Love You"

Brian,
This reminds me of my favorite,
saddest
Radiohead song.
It's called Pyramid Song.
Here's how it goes.

Jumped in the river
what did I see?
Black-eyed angels swam at me.
In a room full of stars
and astral cars.
All my friends I used to see.
All my lovers
were there with me.
All my past and future.
Went to heaven
in a little row boat.
There's nothing to fear,
nothing to doubt.

Thanks for capturing that
with your poem!

Divinity is a tasty candy.
Oops, wrong divinity.
Tasty poem though.

I love this--this is YOU--still and quiet--a hushed whisper write, Brian--mind if I print this one and carry it around with me awhile? (like the rest of my life?)

and laughing at the midnitesun (hmmm...now THERE'S a line...) but YES, Divinity IS a tasty candy!

smiles and sighs.

You have earned your wings, Bri...

Imagery, imagery, imagery.

and more.

(was gonna parody this, ending with

I am
a dust bunny
and you

       call me

             frog

but thought better of it)

Really fine write, m'friend
