A Moment Of Silence Some bow their heads while others are loaned a moment Some begin it while the others end I stop and reality breaks my heart That not even a soul can mend... The stillness always finds me when I'm already to the ground And, I watch myself from the other side of heaven looking down Surrounded in immense quiet everywhere Just watching myself in an empty stare... Going nowhere but always in search for my friend As duty calls and I'm left with what I see A little life falls with every tear in his name Oh, you just don't know how hard it is to breathe... Especially when I inhale sorrows plan And, when missing him has both my hands I'm on the other side of heaven looking down And, on the edge of lonely I can be found... It's a moment of silence that I never expected I didn't have time to fold my hands in prayer Not a warning that I can remember at all Just all of the sudden he was there... So, I gather so broken pieces of me Go back to the visions I silently see Pride at my side I wipe away the tears Oh, I sure look sad from up here...
