Dodging Raindrops

Oh my goodness the rain's trying to make it's land
I've nothing to shelter this heart from the storm
It's few and far between each one
But, I've nothing to keep me warm...

I'm dodging raindrops to not feel the power in away
Just trying to miss each one that falls
For, if I can feel what's not real and still go on
I'll have nothing to haunt me after all...

The rain's every bit of who I am
But, I still dodge them to ensure dry soul
Cause, when wet I regret what I couldn't do
And, just end up ever so cold...

It's picking up it's pace to the fall to earth
Hardly a space for me to reside
All I know is I'll dodge this in the hands of unsure
And, bypass where the rain drops lie...

Because I love you in a manner of friendship in air
And, you can find me in stillness within grateful stare
I have to dodge what the waters give us this day
And, be sure I don't become wet on the way...

How hard it is to miss the skies gift to us
But, I only know the rain to be rough
I've always known waters to claim as my own
And, for now I just want a dry home...

Allow me to dodge the rain in it's flow
So a soaking heart can find room to grow
I'll keep missing the waters to the ground
Every time cloudy can be found...

Saunni - very nice write. You write extremely well, everything flows, and your thoughts are brought out on paper...

(sigh) Oh Saunni, I too wish for the sun to always shine in your heart and for the tears to turn into those of joy and lightly drizzle your hearts soils for blessings! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Saunni,
It is always nice to see you here. Excellent write. You make a wonderful friend.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I can imagine that you would never need an umbrella.

Thank you.
