(For my love dove Joanna! )

Pastel Caesuras
By: Noah Eaton
10/2/02

Once I was a dove glowing in navy blue
Staring into a silent lake, sad and forlorn
Hearing ducks quack sadly, hugging me
Believing that I truly am special and no longer will I mourn

Then gracefully, floating like a feather in the wind
A beautiful lady dove descended to me with a sunflower in her beak
Crooning and chirping with a cheery girl-scout smile
Dropping it at my feet and leaping in happy dance tossing her wings

Suddenly my blues bleached to whites, plumage burning like white dwarves
Chirping back to her happily, singing Shangri-La feedback to her
Glissading to me throwing a standing ovation, folding me in her wings
Smothering my buttermilk face in babys breath smooches in soft colors

Through ornithologic grammar she says, "My name is Joanna,
God sent me to be the dove of your soul, as I will always love you!"
And the doves in our hearts nests merge, feathers bleeding pink
Blushing in pastel caesuras, coloring our world through every gentle touch of loves youth

And me and her have found a nest on a tropical lake
Two white doves now blushing pink in loves ecstasy
Cooing sweet love songs to each other
Marking enjambments on a never-ending romantic symphony...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

'... me and her have found a nest on a tropical lake...'

Noah, so much I would love to see you and your Joanna build that nest.

The picture is perfect for your words.

Hugs, Marti

Noah, Noah, Noah!!! This is without a doubt one of the sweetest, purest, imaginative love poems of yours that I have ever read---and that says a lot! There is something extra special about this one that really appeals to me. Thank you!

~ May all your days and nights be filled with this kind of pure love ~

So very happy to see YOU happy again - I recall a poem a while back when you were sad about this same lady.

Peace,

Oh, Noah...this is sooooo beautiful. Being the romantic that I am, these are my favorite kinds of poetry. You and Joanna are fortunate to be so happy and in love. True love is simply amazing, isn't it? I know!!!  Best wishes to both of you.
