you think that I am
rabidly insane
as I let out squeals
in speechless whispers
torn, pleading, begging,
in arrested form --
a stone, fixed at place
to weather distress

but, one day am sure
that the time will come
when an artist’s hands
shall chisel and sculpt
and carve out of me
something beautiful
a great bright future
and till that day dawns
I must suffer storms
in forced vertigo

I hope the day comes
sooner than it must
for then I shall be
alive and hammered

I hope the day comes soon for us that the inner artist recognizes what has always been the form under the surface and we are thus raised from the dust to a lit place of exaltation. In the meantime I too get hammered (but hopefully not arrested).
