"Ain't No Hatfields and McCoys I Reckon"
By: Bill Charles and Noah Eaton
9/22/02

gather round, y'all, I'll tell y'all of a skirmish
one far more serious than the Hatfields and McCoys methinks
this ain't for them weak or the faint of heart or squirmish
it's of Rascally Raccoon, Billy Bob Possum and the garbage brink

oh my, there’s a story happnin’ tonight
one about a time ago back, when there was goings on
shuckin’ an’chuckin’ stuff, in the bright moonlight
those three dang it, you know who them is, doggone

them there varmints made bread and margarine than of bread and butter
mud slingin' for turkey legs and table scraps in them ravine
i reckon they were wrestlin and a' strugglin' on the brazier
brattlin' for som' braunschweiger, rushing for them residue in boxes of ice cream

slurpin’ and eatin’ toast and churned butter made them
loose
chasin’ down those turkeys, black eyed peas and all
dem thangs
wrestlin’ huh, strugglin’ huh, dey was lookin for that
fat goose
dawgs is good if they hot, taters, how bout them’s
chitlings…

the comics from last sundays paper and old fly-fishin' magazins'
cans o' chicken of th' sea, my uncle Jebediah's treadmill
them old fedora I wore back in them happy ole' happenins'
you thought this fight would'a never rustle down, till...

and then from outta dat by god West Virginia hills
came all of those trappings, fillings, stuff, and more
Ya say ya found me ole fedora ya’ll with the daffodils
But wait, thar goes that dippsy dumpster and Eleanor…

My, my, my, my, my, how do you do?????????????

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Are you pulling our legs! This wasn't written by our Noah and BC---if it was, it must have been channeled by some dear departed billy of the hills!

Hardy har har---what a hoot! Enjoyed!

Very playful! I like the comical way you two have penned this one!

Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken!?
