                                                     The ending of you

5 o’clock came and 6 o’clock too finally at seven I put away the stew

I cleaned up the kitchen and turned off the lights I went to my room and started to write.

I poured out my heart  this feverish trend, Oh how can I tell you my lover my friend.
There’s so many things I needed to say,  If only you would listen and not turn away

I cried and I cried long into the night , finally sleep let me forget this plight

Late morning came when I heard your car, I ran down the stairs out into the hall
I opened my arms wanting you there but you went to the kitchen and looked for some beer

I thought It was me, that your love went away
My hair ?
My face?
What is it I say?

I wanted to walk down by that one tree, where you carved my name for everyone to see
Things where different then, we were full of life
It wasn’t long after I became your wife

As days went by and years passed on, this feeling I had  went on and on.
You turned me away more often then not,  and things got to be were we fought and fought

It was December, a cold winter‘s eve, I handed you papers and started to leave
You said what is wrong? What’s the meaning of this?

I  started to shout shaking my fist,
And then I remembered I had a wish!

To stand on my feet and make my own niche
Never surrendering life so rich!

Very sad, Miah... but it sounds like you did the right thing...
At least you turned it into a lovely poem... and I hope things are working out for you.

Miah, I am so sorry. This must not have been easy for you.

I hope your life is better now.

Hugs, Marti

Madame Chipmunk,

Thank you for your kind words, It was hard at the time, but time   seems to heal all wounds.

NewEnglandlazurlu,

Thank you so much for replying.  My life is better now, I have a wonderful person with me who is my dream come true.

Mistletoe Angel,
