Listening to every heart

His Book

many leaves have fallen
to bring about
this book of life, many
leaves have rustled
some crushed through
ugly strife, many
leaves have wandered
along a brooking water’s ebb...
many leaves have
been held fast
by a silken spider’s web

still he takes each leaf
of year, of month, of
daily drudge
binds them oh so
mightily so no year
is without budge

surrounded in his
book of leaves,
he’s left no stone
unturned,
he left behind his grieving,
left no bridges burned
he left behind his long ago,
no grudge will he long bear...
wrapped tight in his
thought, just so,
as all was done with care

though he dwelt in love
once lost, though not
sought, a second one
was found
he’s covered many a hard
won mile...
of uneven, blood drenched
ground

so don’t wonder if you find
his book of leaves
he left behind
and should you find the
pages tattered
no not that it would
matter, but
he wrote of you, and you
and you
for in his heart...
you’re captured,
and to the winds,
you’re scattered.

(sigh) Wow, this is powerful imagety, sweet friend, I saw all the leaves scattering through the heartstrings of a storybook like drifting memories, this is excellent and dazzling, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

This sounds like a beautiful book, Karilea...
All life is written somewhere, and I think you have just described the book where it has been so lovingly scribed.
Thanks for sharing this with us...

Just beautiful Karilea. Chris

This reminds me of a poem I wrote a while back called Cybil smiled.
I think it's in Dark somewhere.

Karilea, i like the inventiveness of this, alot!  Past experience, in faded memories, are a sort of yellowing page.  Jeff

Karilea, for some reason this verse really
connects with me at the moment. It's a keeper. Wonderful poem.
