Lost in a dream. (Please don't wake!)

The Wolves Are Singing

I hear a howl
The wolves are singing
Their beautiful lullaby
A soft sweet symphony
The song of the arctic
As I creep closer
The sound dims
Until the only noise
Is the restless wind
Moaning it’s pain
To the world

A soft patter
The crunch of snow
Then silence
I stand frozen
Rooted in my spot
My breath catches in my throat
I am surrounded
Eyes stare out
From the white terrain
Eyes like coals
And stormy skies
Mysterious and dark
Like clouds
When a storms a-brewing

Suddenly
Movement
A rough grey wolf
Proud and strong
Steps out before me
He stares
I stare
A battle of wills
Then
Finally
He relaxes
And looks away
Acceptance

He turns
And with one last look
Walks away
Disappearing into the winds
With his pack
Behind him
I sigh
And breath again

My heart
Previously stopped
Starts once more
It’s steady rhythm
Of life

Thinking of the wolves
I grin
I have been accepted
As a friend
Not a foe
I leave the spot
My life changed
And continue on my way

But then
A howl
I smile to myself
The wolves are singing
Again

This is beautiful.  I felt like I was there myself.

(smiles) Oh Stephanie, I love this, sweet friend, I wouldn't blame some animals for having a grunge against man and how so much naure has been ravaged by them but to feela  spiritual bond toward them yet is a wonderful feeling! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Stephanie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

*hugz everyone* Thanks ya'll, it makes me feel so good to get good feedback. I never have had much confidence in anything I write, but this really helps, to have people say such good things.
