Between midnight thoughts

I remember as a younger child,
Running to you crying,
Shedding tears through the night,
My head laid on your chest, you would
stroke my hair and tell me,
Everything would be alright.
Friends I’ve had, friends I’ve lost,
Along the way things changed,
No matter how bad, how high the cost,
You had always remained.
You never turned your back,
I’ll always love you for that.
No one can take your place.

You’ve always given me the encouragement to rise
above my fears,
My pains,
My situation.
You kept hope alive,
And cradled my fragile heart,
You always reminded me to be God fearing,
You prayed with me,
Stayed with me,
Anointed my head with oil.
You taught me that regardless of how I felt,
To always be respectful to my parents,
That it was pleasing to God,
You showed me wisdom.
You may not have been very educated academically,
But you were wise,
You always cared.
Though you had many to care for,
You always made me feel special.
You have that special care,
That special touch,
That soothing voice,
I love you.

Even as a younger child,
When everyone else lied,
I would come to you,
And you told me the truth.
As a child you still had the faith in me, that I would not say anything to anyone else,
You trusted me,
You treated me as an individual,
And not as a stupid child who didn’t know anything.
I appreciate that.
You knew my heart was weak,
You knew I cried out for love inside,
And you embraced me.
You took me in your arms and made me feel special,
You made me feel loved,
I always valued your honesty,
You were always there for me.
I will make you proud of me,
For everything you have done,
Seeing you in pain hurts me beyond my wildest dreams,
I wish I could make it stop.
I don’t want it to end like this,
I may not know what else to say,
But I love you,
I may not know what else to do for you,
But I love you,

Don’t go...

Don’t leave me..

Because...

I love you.

Gabriel~
I recall seeing your reply on one I wrote about my Grandmother ... you just write these memories ... they never fade if we keep them on our word-palette~

Beautiful~
