Give Me Pen!!!

I want to write
I long to write
but dust and leaves
and fuzzy hair clumps
tug at my sleeve

guests are coming
thoughts are numbing
a drone of angst in me
I want to write
I need to write
from toil set me free

yes, I know,
the way to win
is get up, do the work
labor for a while, I,
my duties not to shirk

then the freedom
that I need will come
and bless me with repose
that I may scribe upon a stone
a lovely, rhythmic poes
