Tell Me

did you find
what you were
looking for
was it close
within your reach
a secret that
you already knew
or something someone
had to teach
is it just
a slice of moment
or can last you
for all time
did it come
bold and loud
or whisper
in its tender climb
did it stop
your heart
and take
your breath
away
can you keep it
for yourself
or must you
give it
to make it
stay

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

I really like the simplicity in this. Nicely done. Bob

this seems spurred on by a dichotomy of feelings, well done, I can easily echo all the responses that have come before mine.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
