A grievous dawn lay softly above
White sorrow clouded the sun
The bird of love has broken it's wing
As the first days without you have begun

Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken!?

I really enjoyed this. That first day can be the hardest.

Oh Kris, it seems I have started many a day with a grievous dawn. What a perfect way to put it.

I hope this was just poetry and not a reflection of what is really going on in your personal life! If it is from true experience---is she nuts?!?

You have written some awesome lines---all four of them!

Oh, wow..... powerful, as is everything you write. I love it, Kris, as I love reading your work always. Splendid.

By the way, would it be gramatically(sp) better to say wings? Just curious.

Sincerely,
Titus

_____________________________________

The dawn not meant to be of grief
clouds, a shelter from the sun.
The bird with mended wing will fly.
A new day of life's begun.

As always Kris, you say so much with so few words. You are the master of this form. Nicely done once again.
