Delicate, the colorful exchange before my eyes
Two paired in frilly tingle touch as soft as sighs
Again together, speaking language only they can know
Again apart, to briefly wander and explore, but never go

Docile wings that may beseech a thought to merge
Two paired light, so amorous, play closely in romantic surge
Again together, sharing of the sunshine and the blossoms sweet
Again apart, to briefly linger of the garden walls, and then retreat

Delicate, the patterns of communication when in tune and tone
Two paired, in brief sweet consecration, rippled as complete and known
Again together, seeking of the wind to chase and find the best of chance
Again apart, to know the steps and gentle flight, within a butterfly dance

I've seen that so many times and never knew the words to explain it. Wow!

I've had a lot of butterflies in my stomach adn I've done lots of dances, but I've never danced as a butterfly ... and I'm supposed to be light on my feet

I love it!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Kathy,

Through your words,  I can see their dance.
Flitting here, flitting there....flying
side by side...landing...then flitting away
once more...

Excellently written...very visual poem...

Oh what beautiful and vivid imagery, Kathy...
You made them dance before my eyes.
