Happy Birthday Emoticon!!  Today is the 20th birthday of the famous internet ‘emoticon’! http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/internet/09/19/offbeat.smiley.reut/index.html Here are a few reposts in honor of the smilie!! Noway Icon  Stubborn icon Eyes scrunched tight Won’t budge no matter what He won’t move Won’t even smile I’m gonna kick some smilie butt! You ask him Oh so nicely To please take out the trash He says “no way” not me unless you offer me some cash! No icon dinner Will this one get Til he changes his scrunched up face Let’s hope he Can see the light Or I’ll thwack him outta this place! Ode to the Goofy Smilie  She’s red of hair aA little cross of eyes A sweet young thing that can tell no lies She’s honest as the poetic day is long Got some real talent writing her goofy song With a quick trip down the road of yellow brick Off to see the Wizard she moves real quick! You may use her image in fun and jocularity And each time you do you increase her popularity Ode to the Bouncing Smilie  They always called him Boomer even though his real name was Bill He wanted everyone to use it unfortunately, they never will He gaily bounces all around in happy anticipation See him smiling foolishly in gleeful preparation He’ll jump out at you if you don’t hold him tight He’ll slither on your pillow in the middle of the night You see, my friends, dear Boomer loves to dance an Irish jig Has since he was very little even now when he’s very big He’s not just a fantasy He’s not even a little toy He’s Boomer the Bouncing Booger come to give you all some joy. Ode to the Waving Smilie  There is a new smilie That I must save I'll name him Javier Cause he likes to wave And each time you see This new little guy Know that I am Just saying HI! |
