Tears of mist etch the writings of love around each twig.
A bard alone covered in her own darkness dwells in the sweat of the woods.
The lavender scents of pain creep around her, faces stilled in her dreams.
Covered in silence the heart of a poet calls out to the grays of December.
Letting her soul write the verses of her song,
her torment the ink and her diligence humming the melody.
The voices of the spirit let death fall upon them, only the sound of her profound voice can be heard above the treetops.
Forever the dusty wings of an angel sleep on the mossy boulders of heartache.

A bard alone covered in her own darkness dwells in the sweat of the woods.

There is much beauty and sadness in your words, yet I found the stillness of them captivating.  I hope you find an outlet on these blue pages to set a part of yourself free.   Welcome~

..."Letting her soul write the verses of her song."

---sheer poetry! You have expressed what I feel as well. The best songs come from our soul and echo what is in our heart. The best poets are those who meld all three.

Congratulations on this your first posting at PIP. Welcome to this wonderful supportive family of poets.
