Time
Past
Present
Future

Your time is what I want
the feel of your hand across my face
as the clock tics seconds away
I know we only have today

Our past promise keeps You away
Your present touch drives Me insane
Our future choices are only known to a higher power

the years before I missed that knock on the door and You found someone to fill that empty spot that I could not

Today seems to run away -- Who would of thought of Us ending up on the same city bus
reunited Our past lust
skipping work to catch up on the old
something that never should be told

I dream, as We stay tight in Our embrace
thoughts of things to come run in My mind
then I remember Our children and families left behind when I saw You today

I know what Our future holds
the promises of yesterday to be keep for heaven sake

We lost Our chance for romance
and the next stop draws near
I lose my fear and disembark with You still a spark in the deepest part of My heart.

Very nicely done! Yanno, I ride the RTD every day. How come this doesn't happen to me? Lots of nice people, but a missing lover?
I enjoyed this write.
