Then I will allow age
to settle upon me as does each season...

slinky spring,

sultry summer,

free fall,

warm winter...

and age?

Age shall be but a number
that might be divided,
or multiplied,
depending on the circumstance
and occasion...

and I shall rely
upon the viewer
to discern
my age today...

by looking
into
his
eyes

Indeed!

"Age is in the eye of the beholder."

As I grow older it amazes me how little I know...and how little my kids think I know!

And in his eyes
he sees nothing
Nothing but a spirit,
A spirit eternal

My sentiments exactly...nice poem.

Soleil

Age changes every day...sweeping time under the rug or dusting it to shine, it wants to chase us.  All we have to do is stop running.

Time shall look back, and smile.

Thank you.

LOL@Interloper!
I love this...a time and age for everything..
How come in my head I'm twenty something...
perhaps...it's magic....
do you think?...perhaps.

(smiles) Oh Soleil, this is soooooo beautiful, I love this! (giggles over Interloper's comment) Indeed the true alchemy of time exists within our hearts and what we believe in, for the child inside us all will always smile and if we hold it true we are forever young! There is a famous saying that goes "He Who Knows His Own Generation Will Forever Remain A Child"! (big hugggsssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Soleil, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

an age of wisdom in a jar of time - well wrought lady, this breathes (as they all do in this style), and it brings a smile of understanding and - dare i say it - anticipation...

Some day's I feel 80, others 15.  Still looking for that happy medium.
Very cool poem!
