I simply can't believe my eyes.
My God, this thing is beautiful.
I see the veins within her wing...
a poet's heart in fluttering...
right here NOW...
upon the screen.
I watch the moth
in mock of ME...
if she could?
she'd eat through screen
to burst aflame
(a poet's dream)
oh the wings turn lavender
when she lands on pages blue--
She was so still as I wrote this...
silently, so much like you.

Now at rest, upon black frame.
Trying to avoid the fame
that her flight of beauty claims--
she hides--but she will fly again.

love ya Jan.

Um...Janet...not kidding...she's still most gorgeously there...I wish I had a teeny tiny cup of raspberry tea...sigh... and?

sigh. id try for something more eloquent if it might truly add anything more... but, simply, k: beautiful.

you write the most stunning, appreciative tributes.

==================================

I wish you could see the smile on me mothy face right now....Isnt that the coolest thing...I have had the same thing happen..its the pretty blue screen...works the same as the flame

And? as ALWAYS we are once again in sync...the timing of this is classic twin...
The other day Rachel and I pull up to bank drive thru...and there sits a beautiful, tiny orange stripe moth on the drawer that holds the cylinder. When I pointed the coincidence of me pulling up to that one out of 6 lanes to choose from, Rach just shakes her head and gives me her classic "oh please spare me" look. rofl
The next day...a moth flies out of the mailbox when I opened it... then yesterday I get ready to get in shower..and there is one sitting on the tile wall...later my son caught one in the hallway and let it go out the front door...Rachel sat there shaking her head...and? when I said to her teasingly "us moths are every where" she retorts..."Yeah...everywhere but where you are SUPPOSED to be."
Thats me girlie-girl!!!!!

Thank you for this KA..needless to say its headed for a frame to sit next to "Papillon"
and Im rolling at the tattoo reply...me thinks I need to have the same done...
Only me arse 'taint tiny LOL

love you me twin...

K, do you know how rare that type of moth is? one in a zillon. You could get a good price for that moth. LOL
seriously, a wonderful poem, beautiful tribute.

It's over long before her fall from grace, she's never been this far from safe.
Trying to see where it all began, she'll never be the same again.
