(This is for our dearest friend Sue, who is by among the most compassionate people I have ever known and who I am so lucky to have as a true friend forever in my heart and so very lucky she found her way here to share her golden heart with us all! God Bless You! )

The Garden In Her Heart
By: Noah Eaton
9/17/02

She stands out in her heavenly garden, extending a hand of friendship
Planting gladiolas and poor man's orchids
Lining her prized blessings with tulips
Sprinkling their buds with jasmine

Her loving father, a carpenter of love, brought her here
Her true angel helping her find her voice
Now up above, but always guiding her with love
Singing like the songbird of inspiration in her tears and joys

Now she sings on with the spirit of her father
Two angels passing on the halo of poetic compassion
Knowing he will always love her, be so proud of her
Where she follows his word, spreading his gifted magic

Working at a hotel receptionist during the day
She brings comfort to everyone she meets
Speaking touching stories that always make me cry
And romantic passion that makes me sigh and daydream

Her faith soars like sunset swans, with a special smile
Like a scene from Charlotte's Web she weaves innocent beauty
Spring blooms in her footsteps across these pages
Coming to be the loving angel her dad knew she'd be

She is our angel, which her dad named Sue
Carrying on a legacy of golden compassion and purity so rare and heavenly...
Making me cry always, lucky to know such this angel
Soaring with words of passion and hugs from down under dearly...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Oh, Noah, I am sitting here crying. Sue is going to be so overwhelmed with your beautiful words of love and honor.

What a heartwarming tribute to one of my favorite poets and friends.

God bless you with hugs and love, Marti

Sue is VERRRRRRY cool people.
I love her gentle style of writing,
and her unique phrasing.  If anybody
is due a tribute, it would be her, and you
painted a life-story in it as well!
Astonishing acute observations
written with your wondrous poetic grace!

My dear Noah

You have caught me completely offguard and for me to say that I am overwhelmed is truly an understatement.  As I type, the tears are flowing so freely still and I have no idea how I can ever repay your kind gesture.  You are a rare and precious jewel in the crown here at PIP and your friendship, warmth and compassion mean so very much to me.  At the moment my words don't seem enough to express how you have made me feel but I will leave you with a couple of quotes that most certainly apply to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Noah.

A fire gives warmth and light
and likewise a friend
When I see him
I feel the joy deep inside me
like a pilgrim
who is lost and finds
the right way at last

* * *

Like the shade of a great tree
in the noonday heat
is a friend
Like the home port with
your country's flag flying
after a long journey
is a friend
A friend is an impregnable citadel
of refuge in the strife of existence

* * *

We drop like pebbles
into the ponds
of each other's souls

* * *

Take care my friend

Love Sue

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Noah, you have written such an incredible tribute to one of my very best friends. Sue is the salt of the earth, a beautiful flower in the garden of so many hearts. Thank you for honoring her with your lovely words.

Blessings always,

Well, I must say this, that I have felt a great deal of affection for her, just through her poetry and kind and thoughtful replies---but with this tribute to her, I feel like I know her---and to know her is to like her even more!

Noah, dear Angel heart, not only is this a kind and generous gesture to one of PIP's finest poetesses, this poem was very well written and a testament to your own phenomenal talent!

Noah and Sue:  Passions, seems to breed these loving and lasting friendships and this is a lovely tribute to Sue, plus a revelation once more, of the depths of Noah's feelings. Blessings on both of you!

Noah,  you and Sue have one thing in common,
the love of your fellow man/woman...  And
this gift to her is certainly a treasure
that I know Sue will keep for quite some
time to come...  Well done my friend...
