{Repost from open 20, I think with a few revisions}

I'd failed to believe
buying tremerariously into
each frisson of passion like
some maudlin junkie of love
I'd cast pearls before swine~
or had it been the other way
around?

The scales may tip even,
but probity ranges from
nil to none
These are my demons, my own
secret hell that most would
percieve as a fooforaw,
even dismissable
After all, these arms have
held no one but whom I've
sworn oath to
Still, my heart had been
indiscreet, conspiring to
conflate refractorily against
me in an attempt to bring to
ruin everything I'd been taught
from childhood

We'd traveled extensively the
roads of why & how
both of us coming up short &
wanting at the end
Conscience munches greedily
upon my sanity, my beliefs
until I am raw from thought

What languishes in his heart
I cannot know nor do I care
what matters is his unyeilding
devotion to us, his untiring
determination to win me
nuture me, fulfill me[/b]!
In one inexplicable sweep,
love me
He proves himself a shelter,
my sequioa
one able to ride the tide
of my ebullience with expertise~
Inhale & hold when I dive depths
of despair
Presumptuous of me, searching
outwardly for a sign
attempting to read another book
when I'd barely perused beyond
the title of my own
I hadn't believed,
but now, with all my heart,
I do...

Enjoyed this Tier, but what happened with the format? (the sudden bold text and strange, broken code)
