I see God’s been painting his bathroom white.
He’s left half a thumb-print on the pale sky.
I guess we’ll call that ‘moon’
until he has time to scrape it off.
And look at those cotton-balls
heaped around the edges of the horizon.
So untidy.
He could have put them neatly
in a box,
but no, he’s ‘busy’,
so he kicked them all up in piles.
Sigh.
Our glorious Creator,
so much like my Dad.

This gem just popped right out of the blue!
I wasn't expecting this! Very creative and I like how it ended with a twist of lemon!

~ appreciate your tongue in cheek ~

yep...funny how the things sometimes viewed as not quite finished or cleaned up can be the ones we find didn't really need to be..
enjoyed the read and the thoughts..

Thanks, Chris!

Hi, Lyra! I'm glad you liked it. I smiled while I wrote it. The moon looked so much like a half a thumbprint as I walked around the park, I had to write it to myself all the way around.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, I too love he ending so so much, it made me smile just thinking of God sharing His love with us all then He got tired and just kicked the stars and moon across the skies before He went to take a nap and that is how our night skies came to be! (sigh) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Juanita, thanks! It's good to see you. Have you just wandered over or do you have a poem in here? Guess I'll have to look.

Thanks, Marge! I was walking around the park and saw the moon and the clouds and had to write it this way.
