I'd love a Pilate's wash of hands--
shrug responsibility--
ignore the bleating of the lamb
and tell the world "oh-don't-you-see?"

I wish that I could turn my back
unflinching to the sound of crack
of whip against the innocent--
each snap, reminder that I lack...

I summon angels--
grant permiss
to intervene
a life remiss--

I'd love a Pilate's wash of hands.
I am too late
to understand...

Great write Serenity but I have ignored the bleating of the lamb and always found myself wallowing in a pool of bloody guilt.  Am working on it though.  Can be an exhausting effort, the turning of the other cheek.

(big hugggssssss) And you always summon angels in your words, sweet friend, may they come and always brush away the creases and polish them with a shine, this is touching, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I wonder just what kind of soap he would have used.

Thank you.
