A Candles Walk

Ablaze with candles of my write
Surrounds and lights my gloom of night
Bringing bright likes stars on high
For every candle is, a sigh.

Candles flickering my call
Making patterns of enthrall
Setting wings my mind to fly
Turning me a butterfly.

And there I sail within the hues
The golden amber of the blues
Lifting me in minds of rise
Gifting me with wise surmise.

But fire eats the tallow’s flow
Dissolves its life to make the glow
And as the candles dim each send
A puff of smoke swims each end.

I lit them just to light our day
To warm our love along the way
To make a field of preen for thee
To sail infinities green sea

And if I could a better goal
I’d even light my very soul.

Well will you look at her go this time!  The last picture JM posted was exactly what I was thinking, and isn't it scary when someone reads your mind?  Sy I knew I got up at this hour for a reason, to be lead to this beauty by candlelight, (true, sitting here reading your candle walk by candlelight)   Just a glorious moment too.

The most valuable thing you own is a smile, wear it, and share it.

Sy, this warms and glows in my heart first thing on this dark, gloomy morning. A joy to read....hugs, Marti

JM,
To my butterfly who thinks she is a moth
That dresses up in colored hews of sackcloth.
And weaves my rhyme to rainbow hues
And doesn't know that I love you.

Superb, kind sir! You give us such a lovely thing.

My absolutely favorite lines:

Setting wings my mind to fly

But fire eats the tallow’s flow
Dissolves its life to make the glow

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

From largest candle, maybe, star...
it's easy why you see so far...
for the light you hold within
and the way your poems spin...

Seymour darling heart yet again I’m late, I fly in here like the faithful bee I am to sip from your wordy wisdom, and it is delightful

The light that shines from within you
Anoints my soul with poet’s dew
The softness of your wordy grace
Leaves the lightest hint, just a trace
Of the you that’s spun in this
The line that gives a poetic kiss
Thoughts written of now and when
Inscribed by your poet’s pen
Now paint the sky with rainbow hue
And let me see what else you do
Light the sky and lighten the night
With your words of sweet delight
Like the wave the seeks the shore
My eyes look for your light Seymour

This is utterly wonderful and although I’m in here for the briefest of times at the moment I always try to seek you out darling heart. YOU are always worth the effort. Emma and Krissy both have me save your poems for them so they can read them offline. See you soon

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Beautiful flow, I especially like the lines "But fire eats the tallow’s flow
Dissolves its life to make the glow" To live is to use up our life.
