“WINDOW RAINDROPS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Waking in the early morn,
listening to pitter patters…
Sweetness of a gentle rain,
friendly skies it announces…
Holding you is similar,
knowing your innocence…
Your breath deep with caring,
I love you in confluence…
You’re like the gentle rain,
you flow with loves wanting…
Sweet your fragrance, fresh,
your lips on me are abducting…
Window raindrops what I see,
pathways into your being…
I follow them as they flow,
passions into this morning…
Beautifully said Bill.  You always share with openness and such self awareness that it is easy to follow the intent of the poem.  Nicely formatted free-verse from you.
"Sweetness of a gentle rain."
"I love you in confluence."
BC, I could go on and quote more lines that I think are exquisite, but then I'd be rewriting the whole poem!
It's great to have you back!
Good Morn' BC....the pitter patter of tiny
A very nice feel to this piece, especially the first 2 lines and the last eight.
Now even though E.A. really likes the 'confluence' line, it seems incongruent by the meanings in my dictionary. Therefore, could explain its use here, for me. It's a word that rhymes well, but the definitions I'm given seem awry of the content as I understand it. So, I need help. hehe, what's new, I need help a lot!
Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
BC - I really have missed your radiant words.
I hope we hear that pitter patter soon; we are so dry and desperate for rain.
There is nothing more romantic than loving on a rainy afternoon.
Hugs, Marti
it is your talent, Poet Bill,
that your words convey a sensation
not unlike a warm soft rain
that lays on skin
like the rays of a beginnign summer day.
