I See Her

I see her through a veil of years
A mist, a cloud, a bail of tears
I see her in a childish trance
And often with a sparrows glance

Some times a trivial in pass
Sometimes within the looking glass
Sometimes the warmth of odors smell
She lives with me in every dwell.

She haunts the breeze that cools my face
She lives in every living grace.
Holds my hand when I am ill
And tenders me till I am still.

Hovers o’er my space of live
Giving all that she can give.
In touching hints that fill my day
Long gone, but in my mind she stay.

She was my first love, non other
Than my loving saintly mother

I know she loved you very much,
for she left you with that special touch
the one that tenders us so fair
with a poet's love, so rare...

Sunshine,
Thank you love. and you are a rare one.

JM,
Sorry about that, but each love is different
And in that sense a first love.
And you are a first love.
WWRS

Enchantress,
And a wonderful morning it will be.

Thank You SY....it is certainly hard to
beat the love of a mother....Many a wife
has competed for that position for eons..

Both hold special places in a man's heart.

Excellent write sir.  A wonderful tribute to that ones that indeed hold our first love.  Your cadence is always superb and masterful in everyway.  I do not believe I have ever read one of yours that misses a beat and that sir is a talent that many of us strive for.  I applaud you.

Seymour - how lovely this is.  I miss my Mom to-day, but sense her in the breeze - thankyou for this. Chris

Chris,
We miss them when they are here and miss them when they are gone. That should tell you something.

"I see her"---and we see her as well through your loving words. She was, and is, a beautiful soul--as is her son.
