This falls so far short of where I wish it to be, but then, I am...

Merely Me

I knelt upon one knee
scooped up her ashes,
encompassing all that had been her
save the water
and the breath of life.

Gently I gathered, still,
the water living on the hill.
I sprinkled tenderly its life-giving moisture
upon her ashes there,
and said a prayer.

With hands together,
I lovingly fused
the water with the bone of her.

When clay was formed
and molded well,
filled with anticipation,
I raised my hands
to my lips,
gently parted
hands and mouth,
exhaled
my life’s breath.

Nothing.
For I am merely me
and no matter how great my love,
no matter being there, in the Garden,
my wisdom, my power, are far below
He Who is Creator.

I must, alas, say farewell
.
.
for now.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, Virginia--

this IS my favorite from you--and yes, although we view the spiritual from different points of view perhaps, methinks we are closer in agreement than it might seem.

I loved the symbolism, and the attentive patience of the artistry in this is quite apparent.

I wish I could put into words how this
feels....I do believe Karen has done well
in thought of this work...  You are surely
not below the standards of humanity....

Nor is this poem...written very well..

(smiles) Oh Virginia, this is wonderful, sweet friend, God Bless You, while we do rank far lower than our Creator, you rank as a true loving part of humanity and we are all so lucky to have a true friend like you! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
