Whenever I am near.

to a "big band"
While I am dressed
in a satin gown
Let Glenn Miller
orchestrate his magic
as Bing Crosby croons-
blue eyes cast down.
You're quite dapper
in your tails and top hat
as you lift me
up into the air.
I feel just like
Ginger Rogers
Could you be my
Fred Astaire?
Yes, sing to me
a torch song
I don't care if
you sound off key.
Just belt one out
like Sinatra
Be my
song and dance man
fantasy.

superbity, to coin a word, is in this all throughout,

I felt I was in place of you,
enjoying every move

nostalgia traveled here and there,
in and out of every line
and the moves upon the dance floor
made me feel quite mighty fine
