Tonight I shall dream
Of places unseen
All those haunting
......Memories
I don't remember
But I can feel
And I can't help
But think of you still

And the night is filled with thunder
In the darkness I discover
The truth beyond this spell I'm under
All the lies wrapped into one
All the effects of what I've done

No longer do I care
Just don't give a damn
What once had washed ashore
Is now buried in the sand

Dreams die hard don't they?  I enjoyed your poem,  especially this~

The truth beyond this spell I'm under
All the lies wrapped into one
All the effects of what I've done

cast your dreams in the sand but never ever bury them,  you might need them someday if only to remind you of something good.

Sleep tight!

Thank you all for your kind comments.  Noah, thank you for concern, I'm doing quite well these days.  I actually wrote this in 1999.  Those wounds have since healed.  I just wanted to share a lingering memory.
