In the space between moments

In the Sea of Me

On this night
I need a reprieve
In the sea of me…
These razor-waves
Have worn me thin
--translucent--
Until all
Can gaze within.

On this night
I am an effigy,
Embodied emptiness,
A shadow of my past
--spiraling—
Downward and
Away from here.

On this night
My ocean swells
In this caverned soul…
And I hear the knell,
The sound of the water’s spell
Leading me adrift.

Very powerful writing. Such a sense of losing oneself.

Speak to me in whispers,
I'll listen with my heart.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Krista, I understand these feelings so well, I too felt so claustrophobic I didn't know who I was at all, all it takes is faith to break free from the caverns and get washed out to the beach of comfort! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Krista, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Your writing has always been powerful and this one is no exception.

Excellent verse and gets better from there.  Seems like a perfect way to show where your thoughts in the beginning and then you carry them through for us to see a part of soul in it.  Beautiful

"These razor-waves
Have worn me thin
- translucent -
Until all
Can gaze within."

The feeling of vulnerability and having been lashed by the waves of difficult times, was so poignantly expressed. Very moving.

Take Care

Thank you all so much for your kindness.  I have been having writers block with poetry for a long time and I struggled to get this out.  Thank you all again for your constant and caring support.
