sometimes writing can be such a pain
particularly when it is
about nothing of consequence
when complaining
about nothing in particular
when confessing
to what everybody already knows

it is the same motion picture
in repeat shows
and meaningless preludes
to most sequels
where an act is titled
the return of the germs
or something less poignant

the nothing elements
have captured the minds
with controlled nonsense
released by endless streaks
in the name of …

miserable
unflinching
like rain
like acts of revenge
like cats and dogs
like …

cats and dogs
make me wonder
silly

a look at them and the way
their tails tell tales

that’s all it takes
and the world is different,
yet again
silly!

HAHA, thanks for the morning laugh. Yes, like a morning of the American game 'Trivial Pursuit,' Sudhir style.
I love to watch cats and dogs strut their stuff.

Writing is, indeed, an exercise of sound judgment even when judgment is feeling silly.  But write away, for silly or not, there is always a grain of sense in what is left behind.

You never cease to amaze me, and this again is one of those times Sudhir, great write.

Suddy you rock...I dunno what it is about your poetry, it's truly unlike anything I've read - how does it feel to be unique m'friend?

Shaking head here - in a good way..

(oh but I would lose the exclamation at the end of 'silly' heh)

Kamla, my dear friend... now your words are HUGE... I am not even sure I understand them well...

unique,
I sure hope to be not,
for unique stands apart
aloofed he becomes
if not already

thoughts are of everyday
walking in and out
of the doors
high above

yet amongst everyday deeds
one finds odd happens
that leave there scents behind

to be written
to be read
to be re-written
to be re-read
and on and on and
...

and yes the exclamation
has to go
since it is after all
what happens everyday
when the wagged tails
tell tales

however different to
each one of us
sitting on
our own high chairs (or low?)
with feet hanging
down

.......... THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH....

regards,
sudhir
