I might complain about complacency among city dwellers
but I know I live in a country where I can express my opinions

and if I express my opinion
others might complain of a bias

I might complain about a cut in a pay cheque
but then I have the right to choose the job I like

and if I like the nature of my job
a co-worker might object about another job detail

I might complain about the distance I must travel to work
but then I can take a metro to work each day.

another Joe might complain of the packed metro that day
and have no qualms about how far he lives from the workplace.

complain about the blistering winter
spring attenuates
summer shines in

complain about the hot summer
fall interferes
winter pushes in.

complain about an unfair rental
at least there's a roof over my head,
and good lodging is hard to find.

others might complain about a leaky roof
so many complaints...so few answers?

I suppose it all boils down to attitude and the  perceptions of each one's "reality".

Interesting write---interesting read!

Don't be so sure about being able to express your opinions in PIP. Those who do risk being branded as a bad sport, while those who chide the complainer turn a blind eye to the real problems, supposedly because they are so generous, but in reality, because they haven't got the nerve to speak their singular minds, because they, too, might be censored.

Just my humble opinion.  Good write, though.

Hi Sheila,

Well I have had the nerve to speak some truth on uncomfortable issues and got censored for that, so rather than complain..I now know what's expected

Earth Angel,

it all depends on one's assessment of his/her reality I guess...this is plane and clear here.
