Why did you leave?
I don't understand.

Why did you act the way you did?
I know it wasn't anything we did.

But why, why, why?
What made you become the way you did?

I am so confused,
I can't figure it out.

It makes me ache inside,
and sometimes the pain just won't go away.

All of my friends know their daddy's,
but why do I have to be the daddyless one?

Were you afraid of being a father?
Or was it the booze?

Now I am without a dad,
and it's all your fault and I don't care
whether you like it or not, because I have
become a better person just because I don't know you!

This is such a sad write for me to read. I worry so much that my little girl will someday feel this way about me. I enjoyed this very much. It helps me remember exactly why I love my daughter so. Thank you for that!!

Andrea, this is heartbreaking for me, I can relate well, makes me think of my childhood. You are not alone.

Hello Andrea

I felt your deep sorrow and pain through your heartfelt words and I can only hope that some day you may have some kind of a relationship with your father.  I was lucky to have had a wonderful relationship with my father and it was due to the sorrow I felt after his death that inspired me to write in the first place.  I wish you well and hope you are able to get together one day.

Take care......Sue
