Listening to every heart

Passions’ Proud Poets

One wrote of how his Lady cried,
one soon wrote her troubled cry
one wrote of her need for blue
then one penned of some things to do

Soon one found her voice again
then she wrote of where, and when
he wrote, wending his thoughts along
soon he lifted their hearts in song

She wrote of anger, and of tears’ sum,
they held to faith, told fear, “begone!”
one wrote of red, come white, come blue,
all penning hope, as only they do

As dust settled, and all saw more
quietly, silently, they’ll even the score
by lifting hearts, souls, and awesome pride
matched only by an ocean’s tide…

So if a poet, in days to come
hears his pounding heart’s patriotic hum
then casts a memory of Passion’s hue
look around…and see, it’s you…

For all picked up their pen to write
their stance so tall, in their unite

~*~
You all continue to make me proud
that you allow me within your ranks

Dear Sunshine

I think today is a day for uniting, if there ever was one.

May we all do justice to the memories
of the lost.

It is comforting and safe to be here today.

I too would like to thank all who have written and voiced their emotions, their feelings, their patriotism, their love for their country, their world and their neighbor.

It has been a very emotional week for all of us...in oh so many ways.  Life has pulled us along in its riptide ways, we tried to look back, but our footsteps strayed...whirlwinds of time now blow us to blue...all I can pray, is that the hearts of you, take it to the next step, be ALL that you can be...and with your words, and with your hearts, you change a course, with poetry...

thank you all so much for reading.
