I weather storms
while you melt for no one
not even me
& as the tempest blows
you're as snug as a bug
in a rug, when I need a hug
but don't get it
"I'm all alone,
there's no one here
beside me..."
I would like to keep
the faith but it's as elusive
as wishes or dreams in
the stream of time
watch how I bend
in the wind-
weather beaten,
forecasts are dim
yet you shine
while I carry the scars
which makes me wonder...
when you bite the apple
will it bleed down
your traitorous lips?
even as I trace a finger
over your naked hip
lost in thought, while
you are content with
the grind
did I choose the proper
valentine?
day in, day out
I move slow like the sea
progressing here to nowhere fast
while you jet-set around the world
having a blast while I drown...

won't you throw me a line?

Very apt wordings at present, Tier.
Like the Tempest of Nirvana
turned inward.

painfully powerful

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Sometimes, the lines are too thin.

Thank you.

..."I move slowly, progressing here to nowhere fast"....

That one line drove your message all the way home for me. I know what you're saying---and you have done it so poetically.

Tier, you got it exactly.  Why should one see sunshine all the time, and another see rainclouds?

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Thanks Mikey, this is one that I wrote a few months ago. *smiles*

VAS, I know... thank you reading! *hugs*

Moonlight Romeo, true that lines can be too thin, but to one drowning it can mean life. Thanks for reading!

Captain, I'm grabbing hold with two hands! Thank you!

Thank you, poetic Earth Angel, it's always good to read your thoughts! *smiles*

Geenabee, it does seem a tad unfair at times. But I also know that we all get our turn at the good or bad. Thanks for commenting! *smiles*

Brian, thank you for the kind words, here's one for you!
