Do you remember the old times
In the days when love was grand
A time when love was innocent
As two hearts took command

I remember those golden times
upon the sands of whitest grain
of moments when we two shared rhymes
in quiet repose and sweet refrain

Do you remember your first love
When your heart felt on fire
How he gave your life new meaning
Sensing your want and desire

Yes my love, I shall not forget
the moments tenderly shared then
The peace and warmth without a fret
when two were one, in thick or thin.

Do you remember your first kiss
When the fireworks lit the sky
Love flowed through your veins
And gave you wings to fly

A kiss that left the earth on wings
of angels flying in soft soar
A kiss that melted, never stings
A kiss of want, yet but once more

Do you remember those nights
Walking barefoot along the sand
A silhouette of two lovers
As they walked hand in hand

Tickling toes and sailing the breeze
with whispers telling the night to still.
As branches bow the giant trees
in wait of once, of when we will...

I still remember the words
That you whispered so true
My life is filled with love
And my days spent loving you

One love, one heart, one soul in wait
of just a time for two in love.
One love, one heart, one night so late
beneath the moon, the stars above...

Paul,  Martie,  Nancy...thanx to all of you
for your replies...HUGS to you ladies....and
a handshake for Paul.....

I managed to catch Sue on the way out the
door in time to get her approval of this..

She told me that her part was a DRAFT of
a poem she was writing..  Seems to me it
was more than just a draft...  I think it
was perfect to write to....

SueT...thanx,  and don't let anyone ever
think you don't have the talent to write
a collaboration...You're wrong!!!

Oh, thank you so much for the invitation, but I wouldn't want to detract from the wonderfully romantic verses that you would write!

You already have two run-away hits from your successful collaborations with Sue and our Rose of White---I'd break your winning streak!

Wow!  What can I say?

Barry - Firstly, I was so humbled that you would even consider me to assist you with a duet and it is the first one I have ever done.  I am amazed at all the wonderful responses and how well received our words have been.  I have such a deep respect for you and your wonderful words and I am delighted to share the stage with the kindest of hearts and the warmest of souls.

Thank you all for reading this as I take my hat off to Mr. Romance, Barry.

Take care.....Sue

A beautiful duet.  It appears one must know another very well in order to blend words so effortlessly.  Thank you for this.
