I suppose loss
should quiet my pen
perhaps have me stare
at crumpled paper balled
in tight fisted agony
then thrown with anger
to a waiting pile of other
useless thoughts,
I suppose...

but I am smiles
filled with lemon drops
that tickle around my tongue
& burst out in laughter
I am sparkling lights
within deep browns
telling stories with a
twist that never end
add to this the ability
to fade like a chameleon
in the rain that hide
tiers so well,
I have conquered loss,
I suppose...

Tier,
I like how the answer
is another question.

..."the rain that hides tiers so well"...

I'll never be able to shed another one-- "tier"--without thinking of you! This was a very moving read for me. So poignantly expressed.
