Haven't written in a while
I guess it was because of my fear
To admit to you all that my time is near

"You're dying young."
Is what the doctor had to say
"Your time is short. Live your life to the fullest every day."

Each day was a denial to myself what was true
I couldn't face the facts. I didn't know what to do.
So I hid the truth from myself, and yes from you too.

Now I feel myself wasting away
I guess that's why I'm writing today
To let you know not everything is here to stay

I know cause I'm dying young
Getting ready to embrace the grave
Immersed in Death, it's forever slave

Jackie... This makes me tear up

I have been fighting cancer for about a year now and things have been up and down like a roller coaster....
I will certainly pray for you...
