pov
can you guess what it is? if so I’ve done my job
I’ll give the pov on Friday, I guess, if no one’s determined it
hint: it's not from my point of view

Way up here--
So cool!
I can see
that tiny path
leadin’ to the fishin’ hole;
can almost imagine me
with my pole.

Swayin’ in this tree
as the wind blows me;
it’s like ridin’ in a ship
across the deep blue sea.

An’ look, there!
A sailboat
out off the point;
it would be so rad
to be there again,
with Dad,

reelin’ ‘em in,
while boat rotors spin,
watchin’ for fins
under sea gulls’ din.
Yep, from up here
I can see forever,
doesn’t even hafta be
a clear day
like that song,

cuz the memories
of my dad
are way too strong.

Sure wish he could be here
with me
in this tree.

Haha,
guess it might bend
a bit too much
guess we might both
lose our lunch,

but,
ya know,
I think it’d be worth it
just to hear Dad’s voice.
What a wonderful noise
that would be,
if he were here
with me.

I can't even guess, but I'm fascinated by the scene. Tell me.

I would guess that you are talking about a cloud, virginia...
Are you sitting in a cloud?
Or maybe the sky or heaven...

I really should have said: "From whose point of view?" I didn't make my question very clearly. However, if I was looking for the place, this stanza tells it right out:

Swayin’ in this tree
                       as the wind blows me;
                       it’s like ridin’ in a ship
                       across the deep blue sea.

But, I'm actually wanting you to guess of what gender/age, etc. the speaker is.Hint, it's not a middle-aged woman. (that would be my own point of view.)

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
