When I left I took some things with me I took a heart full of memories A few photographs Some old cards and letters A lifetime together Packed in a cardboard box As time has gone by I have lost those effects Along with the feelings and The hurt I’ve thrown away things That once had much meaning Replaced by a new life With new love, new respect For myself I have forgotten the bad times Along with the good Slowly the traces that once were you Are being erased From my home From my heart One by one Nothing ever happens unless first a Dream - Rod |

 (big hugggssssss) Oh Rodney, this is powerfully bittersweet, I can understand how difficult it can be to let go, but all the better it will be and true happiness is bound to be yours as you are so deserving of it! This reflects your moving onward with your life and no longer looking back. May I say, that I personally find that I don't throw the good out with the bad. I retain the sweet memories of each relationship that I have had----the bad ones I leave well enough alone! I leave those in the past where they belong. This was a very poignant piece of writing.
