Though a Text of Masks

her life
a closed book
not because of death
but perhaps of tragedy
for she is but
a text of masks

covertly day to day
in shrouded play,
veiled work,
hidden motives.

unwilling
she
to reveal
the ticking urgency
she feels

reluctant
to allow disclosure
of what
she deems pleasure
or treasure

loath
to touch
or be touched
to be vulnerable

yet
somehow
by her hands
many have been blessed
tacitly caressed
by her heart

how
is it so?
as hand-maiden
of Him whose
miracles
work mightily
throughout the land
by the touch
of
a silent hand
laced with love

(big hugggsssssss) It's because she is a beautiful person underneath all the fear and anxiety and it's only a matter of time before she realizes that and strips of her mask! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, I LOVE IT, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

or maybe it is not shyness at all but that she wants those who receive to know from where the true blessing comes

she desires to be invisible that praise will not go to the wrong entity,
but to the true Giver

Thanks for reading, Noah. Wish I could be as willing.  Aha, I should not have used the word 'vulnerable' for it miscontrued her real motive, this fictitious person that made me think a little bit of Mother Theresa.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
